To be honest, the idea for a blog popped into my head when I was feeling lonely and pondering ways to stay in touch with friends better, but when my friends said they probably won't read it much, the idea still lingered with me. (Actually, the idea has lingered with me on some level since I was 15 or so and a crazy fan girl. That was when I was first exposed to the many creative possibilities of the world wide web. I believe that the "blogosphere" didn't become popular until many years later but it was stirring in me for some while before.) Alas, I realized that I can still get what I want out of a blog, with or without friend input. That is because a blog is a place to wind down, tell stories, write however and whenever I want, post up things that inspire me, project ideas and just be romantic. Most of all, a space that is only mine and I can manipulate however I want. It's a powerful feeling. Ever since I switched to the sciences (which I LOVE), I've been missing writing and was really grateful when I discovered this new way to keep it in my life.
WARNING: This is NOT a rant blog. Sorry all. I may discuss some important issues but the general feeling of this blog is going to remain intuitive and laid back.
Now that that is out of the way, here is a bit about me. My name is Pamela and I am 22 years old. However, I'm living with my parents until September so I really don't feel 22 for the mean time (it's a very odd feeling). I'm Canadian and a huge supporter of Obama. I love to read, write, dance, sing, cook, arts and crafts. I was one of those dorky teens who read fanfic and was into all the shippings. It was a very time consuming and addictive hobby but sometimes I miss the excitement of it.
I love nature and wish to have my own garden one day with as many herbs, fruits and veggies as can fit in my backyard. I also want to eventually have many many pets. I am an environmentalist and shower once a week. :P I like to make people laugh and be silly too.
I absolutely love arts and crafts, especially when mere ideas become projects, which than transform into not only pretty but functional things too. Nature and the world itself is a miracle to me. My goal in life is to be happy, challenged and always learning.
That's all for now. Enjoy!
